When writing first developed, the language was carved into rocks and trees. As a result, there are no curves in any of the Yusak runes, and in fact the lines only go in one of two directions: vertically or angled down (from left to right) at a 30° angle. There are no lowercase letters.

Yusak is written left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
