Adjectives do not exist as a distinct part of speech in  Tatsan. Rather, there are noun-form adjectives and verb-form adjectives.

Adjectives in the form of nouns are abstractions of concepts, such as “redness”. In order to use such a word as an adjective, the noun is used in a comitative construction; rather than saying “the red bird”, one would say “the bird with redness”.

Adjectives in the form of verbs are essive in nature, with meanings such as “to be red”. In order to use such a word as an adjective, the verb is conjugated into the participle; rather than saying “the red bird”, one would say “the redding bird”.
