About Infernal
Why limit one's conversation only to a mere billion or so puny humans, when one could speak Infernal, the language spoken by an unknowably vast number of devils as they subjugate countless mortal souls unfortunate enough to spend eternity under their glorious reign?
Infernal is catalogued here for planeswalkers who may find themselves in the hell realms, and tabletop RPG players.
According to Pathfinder wiki:
Spoken predominantly in Hell and by those who traffic with it, Infernal is a concise language which requires great precision in the speaking. It contains many homophones in its vocabulary, leading to great confusion among novice speakers, as similar-sounding words can have widely varying meaning.
According to Forgotten Realms wiki:
Infernal was brought to Toril through contact with evil beings from other planes. It is described as beautiful, yet alien in nature, since it developed among beings with thought patterns very unlike those of humanity. Clerics often take the time to learn it, and the Infernal alphabet is used to transcribe the Thayan dialect of the Mulhorandi language.
