[view] About RhainishThe Rhainish language family originates from the northern Rhaineen peninsula. It's most-spoken language, Rhainyrese, is the official language of the Rhaineen Empire and is a lingua franca spoken throughout most of the continent.
[edit] [view] ThvAumărzenu (Aumărzenu Dialect)This dialect is spoken to the west of Ykjoose in the city of Aumărzenu. It is known for the presence of a final -n that doesn't exist in the standard dialect. They are very proud of their dialect and believe that the standard is harsh on the ears. Even so, the strong presence of the standard language has influenced the local dialect, and the modern one can be considered a blend of the standard and the older form. The standard speaker might have a little difficulty understanding this dialect.
[edit] [view] (n/a) (East Capital Dialect)This is the dialect spoken in the eastern suburbs of Salvosh and Ernăăbŏ adjacent to the city of Ykjoose. It is a prestige dialect, spoken by the very wealthy and high class elite. Because the suburbs are very expensive and are very endogamous, this dialect is definitely seen as a marker of social status. It is characterized by a large vowel shift and by the "vowelization" of the final -r and -sh.
[edit] [view] Thawinaasury (Ykjoose Urban Dialect)This dialect is the variant spoken in the overpopulated urban areas of the capital city, Ykjoose. It is closely related to the Rhainyrese Standard, both derived from the dialect spoken in the city 120 years ago. It is considered linguistically a very conservative dialect due to the strong influence the standard has that prevents much deviation.
