Welcome to the ConWorkShop Planet project (CWSP)! This is a collaborative conworld project where we make countries to fill with invented cultures and their languages. Join for diplomacy, war, trade, map-making, and general conworlding fun. We have an emphasis on collaborative language family building (but you can still import pre-made languages in some areas). The planet’s name is Sahar.
You can see the current world map, awesome interactive SVG map, and CWSP wiki under Community > Projects.
[top]How do I join?
- Read the rules. You must read the rules before applying to join CWSP. These are mandatory rules, not guidelines to ignore.
- Research Sahar
- Take a look at the world map and familiarise yourself with it. Decide where you want to put your country.
- There are other maps like climate and vegetation cover linked to on the application thread and lots of information about your potential neighbours on the SVG map.
- We also highly recommend joining our Discord server, where most of the planning happens.
- Partially Claimed Lands (PCLs) are areas of the map where you will have a few extra, region-based guidelines to agree to before joining. These will typically be about regional history or what language families are encouraged to be used. Don’t be intimidated though - a PCL indicates that a region is active and has lots of established history to work with.
- Take a look at the world map and familiarise yourself with it. Decide where you want to put your country.
- Make an application
Make an application, following all application guidelines, on the appropriate thread.
- Register your country on PWS
- Make a CWSP country on the PlanetWorkShop subdomain.
- Please fill out your Basic Information and Country Facts to the best of your ability.
- Apply to join the clan.
- In order to join the clan you’ll have to go to the Clan List, find CWSP, and hit the “Request” button.
- If your country has been accepted in the thread and you have applied to join the clan and not been approved for a few days, please post a reminder on the application thread.

After you’ve been accepted as a member of CWSP and added into the clan…
- Make a country thread in the Countries clan board.
- Join the CWSP Wiki
- Make an account on the CWSP Wiki.
- In order to start adding or editing content, you will have to have your account approved (anti-bot measure): request approval on this thread.
- After you have been approved, please make a country page on the Wiki with some basic information.
- Make an account on the CWSP Wiki.
- Add SVG Data.
- Please fill out as many of the SVG indices as you can.
- Do a bit of research on countries with similar sizes, populations, and climates before deciding on production values (your arctic country can’t produce five billion tonnes of bananas annually, sorry).
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help or recommendations.
- Please fill out as many of the SVG indices as you can.

You’re now free to do whatever you like on Sahar! Make a news thread, add pop culture or history info to the wiki, or start a war — go for it!
Activity Checks
We will be adding a new system called Activity Checks or ACs shortly. This is to make sure that “dead” countries get removed and the land is opened up for newcomers to use. ACs will be announced well in advance so you will have ample time to respond to them. So long as you contribute to the boards or wiki on occasion, you should be fine.
