In Dagomnian, a noun has 5 declensions: Nominative (subject), Genitive (possession), Dative (indirect object), Accusative (direct object), and Ablative (away from object). Sometimes, the declensions are not precise enough to declare an object's position, and that's where languages use adpositions, or in Dagomnian's case, prepositions (placed before the word). Every Dagomnian preposition has an assigned case when used on a noun or supine. The three cases reserved for prepositions are Dative, if the object is moving, Accusative, if the object is stationary, and Ablative, if the object is moving or stationed away from something else; these classifications do tend to have exceptions, though. As of 3 December, 2017, there are 44 words identified as prepositions.
