Font should now be up to date, though commas are broken and the letter "t" appears to be uh... damaged.
also the kerning's kinda fucked up but that's just cause i don't really know what i'm doing lol

Made in Glyphr Studio after converting scans of my handwriting to SVG in Inkscape.

Spaces should not be used between the multiple parts of words. Use · instead.

Beginnings of sentences are marked with a .

The written language can be read horizontally left to right (the most common), as well as right to left mirrored (backwards), vertically from top to bottom (rotated 90 degrees clockwise) or vertically from bottom to top (mirrored and rotated 90 degrees clockwise). The direction is ascertained by looking at the placement of the . marking the beginning of a sentence, as well as by the orientation of the letters.

For questions, the beginning of an interrogative sentence will be marked with a question mark INSTEAD of a diamond

The letter doubler becomes important for this reason--two consonants written in a row implies a word boundary.
Normally, something like eq'qi would be assumed to be two separate words: "eq qi."
Whereas "eqqi," as one word, would be eqqi

Here is the name of one of my characters, written out with a sentence starter and name marks.
Mīgoshle Qela abō Sēmi-ab-Quannoqor

And of course you can see that little nn at the end there...
The name marker is used for proper names, important things as a way to draw attention, and that type of thing, usually framing the name fully and going between the individual words. I have it coded to the interpunct (·) and @ (hopefully)
(it was supposed to have been coded to commas as well but that seems to have broken inexplicably)

Example sentence:
"I speak Firōglosan."
"eq seqā firōglosan."
.eq seqā ·firōglosan·
Or if you want the quotation marks, .[eq seqā ·firōglosan·]
As you can see, the sentence starter goes before the opening quote mark.

Or a question in quotes:
?[eq seqā ·firōglosan·]
And without quotes:
?eq seqā ·firōglosan·
Simply a phrase with a question mark at the beginning, indicating rising tone. ✎ Edit Article ✖ Delete Article
