salate! In this lesson, we'll be looking at introductions and goodbyes.

Vocabulary (enrel)
salate (hello)
ču (and)
len (I/me)
yen (you, sing.)
ceta (to be)
mixü (name)
yendal mixü ceta onä? (what is your name?)
yen cetaeta wuenka? (how are you?)
ya (so, well, now)
iš (yes)

Let's look at a conversation between Tamasieaxu (T) and Eßdaþändin (E), who are meeting for the first time.

T: salate!
E: ču salate.
T: len ceta tamasieaxu tamasi. yendal mixü ceta onä?
E: ceta eßdaþändin eßda. ya, yen cetaeta wuenka?
T: iš. ya, ču yen cetaeta?
E: iš.

When introducing yourself in Issauna, it is customary to give your full name, or yarimixü, followed by which part of your name you wish to be called, or lünimixü. Here, Tamasieaxu asks to be called Tamasi and Eßdaþändin asks to be called Eßda.

Tamasi and Eßda talk for a while, but eventually, Tamasi has to go.

To be added: Tamasi and Eßda say goodbye, plus prettier formatting.

Notes:
The literal term for "how are you?" is "are you content?" Positive responses are iš (standard yes) or äč (casual yes, yeah). Negative responses are ue (standard no) or wë (casual no, nah).
