This is a list of all the grammatical rules and usages in Mōn, as well as some other information.
Active
SUBJECT [ADJECTIVE, ...] VERB [OBJECT [ADJECTIVE, ...]] [ADVERB, ...]
The active voice places emphasis on the subject or the object.
Passive
OBJECT [ADJECTIVE, ...] [ADVERB, ...] dek SUBJECT [ADJECTIVE, ...] VERB
The passive voice is only used when there is an object. It places emphasis on the verb.
Question
VERB [OBJECT [ADJECTIVE, ...]] [ADVERB, ...] dek SUBJECT [ADJECTIVE, ...]
Adjectives come after nouns. Adverbs come after the object and its adjectives. Postpositional phrases act as adverbs.
Nouns are either animate or inanimate.
Inflections in Mōn that change the meaning of a word (e.g. negating the meaning of an adjective) generally are prefixes, and inflections that change the function of a word (e.g. change an adjective into an adverb) generally are suffixes.
