Negation of verbs
0▲ 0 ▼ 0
Just add thi(t)- to the verb

[comments] [history] To negate verbs you just add the prefix "thi-" to it. If it begins with a vowel it's "thit-".

It evolved from the simple negating adverb "thiit" which preceded verbs to negate them, now it's seen as part of the verb.

Examples:

Tlaalawa.
speak.1P.Sg
I speak

Thitlaalawa
neg.speak.1P.Sg
I don't speak

I don't know how I'll handle this with tenses and other moods as I haven't developed them yet. If verbs keep being conjugated with suffixes, it'll most likely stay the same. If it makes more sense to use prefixes, though, who knows what will happen...
