Akeyetja, today we will begin the lesson by introducing some basic vocabulary that will be very helpful if you plan on starting to talk  Mesyar. By the end of this lesson, you should be able to say basic greetings and some survival phrases, plus some new vocabulary words.

To begin, we will take a look at a vocabulary list, with words that are really helpful for learning and speaking this language.

  • Tabayå - Food
  • Gaur - Water
  • Gårunba - Bathroom
  • Ye - Yes
  • Nolu - No
  • Guir - Hospital
  • Iårka - Hotel
  • Eogo - Shop
  • Dar - Money
  • Çåil! - Help!


  • Go over that list a few times and try to memorize the words as much as possible.
    Now that you know those basic words, I am going to show you some phrases that you should know if you want to speak  Mesyar, or you are planning to go to  Mezka.

  • Nolmiyer Mesyaår - I don's speak Mesyar
  • Masayerme - Good morning
  • Masaçobei - Good evening
  • Yulakan? - How are you?
  • Lua basbo - I am good
  • Çabrei - Thank you
  • Kadå - Please
  • Ralå ube to yume? - What's your name?
  • Mel yume ube ... - My name is ...


  • Become familiar with those phrases and you will be ready to go and survive in  Mezka, this sentences are really basic but really helpful, on the next lesson, I will teach you some more phrases and the conjugations of the verb "to be". Suåpete and see you in the next lesson!
