The nominal declension comes in the following classes: , -ъs, , and -a.
There are ten cases with both singular and plural forms.
Nominative: subject and dictionary form
Genitive: most commonly used for showing possession
Dative: recipient or beneficiary of an action
Accusative: used to mark the direct object of a transitive verb
Partitive: denotes "partialness", "without result", or "without specific identity"
Instrumental: used to indicate that a noun is the instrument or means by or with which the subject achieves or accomplishes an action
Inessive: carries the basic meaning of "in"
Adessive: carries the basic meaning of "on"
Illative (Allative): carries the basic meaning of "into (the inside of)" and "onto"
Ablative (Elative): express motion away from something or off of something.

Adjectives agree in class, number and case. The endings are identical to that of the nominal endings. Thus the nominative singular adjective will end with one of the following: , -ъs, , and -a.

Comparative:
Infix -aak(j)- between the root and the adj ending.

Superlative:
Prefix raajь- to the comparative.
