Will expand later, but for now:

-its (-ets for plural) indicates possessivity by reference. In this form "its thing" means the thing that it owns/references/is related to. EG: "That is my cat."
-istits (-estets for plural) indicates possessivity by composition. In this form "its thing" means the thing that is part of it. EG: "That is my leg."
-ostits (-ustets for plural) indicates possessivity by inheritance. In this form "its thing" means the thing that it is a type of. EG: "That is my species' trait."
