In approximately 2000 B.C, present-day Ceothia was home to two tribes: the Northern Ceoths (or known as the Haug, derived from "wolf", as the Northern Ceoths often used the wolf as a cultural symbol), and Southern Ceoths (or known as Teugs, named after Teugam, the god of war in Ceothian mythology). The Northern Ceoths fought a series of battles against the Southern Ceoths to gain domination of their land, and thus the Ceothian kingdom of Hautaga. After the rule of Kvynntes II (134 B.C - 64 A.D), there was a revolt causing Ceothia to split into West Hautaga and East Hautaga. Eldir I (144 - 220 A.D) sought to reunite West and East Hautaga and established the Union of Hautag. The Union dissolved in 774 A.D and the Last Hautag War was fought. The East ended up taking over the West and became the Kingdom of Ceothia (named after King Ceothymmir III of East Hautaga).

Prince Sømmbheonhaum, the son of King Ceoþymmir V (1131-1183), killed his father and became king of Ceothia, resulting in numerous mass executions of people (approx. 80,000 deaths) suspected of rebelling against him and conquered parts of Yerlan. His rule only lasted for 12 years after finally killing himself at age 31. His elected successor was King Hleuþler Fhynnyrkønnauð, a suspected rebel against the rule of Sømmbheonhaum.

Ceothia, in the early 14th century, became a Constitutional Monarchy and the Jorhájðar Joriansc Ceoþar ág Jorinskaga ("The Royal Laws of the Ceoths and Government") was established in 1339, ruled by King Vylleustt I.

In 1420, a group of Vyllokkists created a religious order named Østják against King Vylleustt II for converting to Iovism and his efforts to convert others to Iovism, since Vyllokkism was the most widely practiced religion in Ceothia. Østják assasinated King Vylleust II and killed 3,000 Iovist Ceothians. Then there was the Østják war, which caused the Østják to dissolve into tinier Vyllokist groups which warred against each other.

In 1456, King Háðwelt started the Vyllokist massacre, in which soldiers burnt down Vyllokist temples and executed anyone who identified as Vyllokist in hopes of weakening the Vyllokist groups. Then, the king established a form of Iovism which was named Háðweltism. Háðweltism, however, wasn't commonly practiced and was outlawed after the death of King Háðwelt by King Czelztt I.

In 1472, King Czelztt had begun colonizing parts of Northern Waytseia.
