Zemaimayan-Rairan is the fourth largest province of the Nesyanian Shenremic Republic, but one of the most scarcely populated ones. It is mainly because of its mountainous terrain and dry climate.
It borders Tazul to the west, Kasewaya to the north, Kaliba to the south, and provinces of Fwarad, Ranawi and Muniri to the east.
The province is surrounded by the Zemai mountain range (hence its name). Its highest point, Mawa, is also the highest peak of Nesyania. There are few rivers and lakes; the largest river is Ajawar, which plays a significant role in the culture and economy of the region.
The largest human settlement is the town of Hetkara with almost 100,000 inhabitants; over a quarter of the population of the province. Other settlements are much smaller and most people there live in rural areas.

A typical, everyday outfit of a Nesyanian woman consists of a loose, knee-length tunic or shirt and a long skirt. The design differs depending on the region and, of course, has varied in different fashion eras.
The upper part is generally plain, often white, black or brown; it is made of thin, but opaque fabric. Skirts, usually pleated, can be very colorful – adorned with geometrical or floral patterns. Jewellery is an important part, too: most women and girls wear earrings and numerous bracelets. Some of them cover their hair as well, using scarves or bandanas. This custom is more widespread in the northern parts of the country.
honestly no idea what title I could give to this mess lol

To be honest, I enjoy living in a place where the seasons are clearly different from each other and I don't think I could bear living somewhere where it's hot or cold all year round. I like seeing how the view outside my window changes throughout the year. My favorite season is winter, I think – I love snowy weather. On the other hand, the main thing I do not like about winter is how days get short and waking up at 6 AM feels like waking up in the middle of the night. Anyway, I like spring as well. Spring is the time of good changes, after all.
Besides that, I like to set my concountries in places where the weather is different every season – it makes me think how all these imaginary people deal with the heat, the cold, what clothes they wear. More diversity, more fun. Actually, the climate of most of my concountries is quite different from where I live – it's less mild in most cases – but still. For example, the climate of Nesyania is very diverse, depending on the region as the country is quite large. In the south, the weather is generally warm and humid. The majority of the population lives there. Going north, the climate becomes more continental. The provinces located in the north, further from the sea and closer to the mountains, are largely covered by cold steppes and deserts. Winters are quite cold, summers are hot and the precipitation is low throughout the year. There are almost no cities there, only small towns and villages.
