Lesson #1: view article

Let's start with the basics - word order. Modern Hinamira, the subject of these lessons, uses primarily VSO, although SOV is also accepted. Just to leave it at that is a little simplistic, as Hinamira actually uses some topic-comment structures.
Take the sentence "Nas-mahina, telasa." We won't worry too much about the specifics of it, but in a word for word translation, it would go "of the moon, dream." (Pronoun dropping is permitted in certain imperative constructions.) The moon is the important idea of this sentence, so it gets to go first.
Note that you can do this with pronouns, too. We'll talk more about that in the future. For now, just remember that Hinamira is mostly VSO or SOV, and there are certain sentence templates where that's not true.
