Oblique case (if you want to call it that, or maybe it's the dative) is indicated by the prefix k- on the noun of the oblique/indirect object. (k- if the noun begins with a vowel, ke- if the noun begins with a consonant other than /k/, pe- if the noun begins with /k/, ken- if it's a pronoun)

Example:

Nawupnarda ahu wupnadarn.
I gave a gift.

Nawupnarda ahu wupnadarn kenye.
I gave him a gift.

This only works with animate objects. You can say nanakawi ahu ye (I sent him), but not *nanakawi ahu ye keprinafon (I sent him to the store).

As is well-known, the causative form of a verb can be constructed through the prefix wu- (atonpas (to die), wutonpas (to kill)). An alternate form is through the use of the adverb yemal, which roughly means "to cause to".

Example:

Toatonpasda ye.
He died.

Anatopnasda yemal ahu ye.
I caused him to die. (I killed him, I arranged his death, etc.)
