A and o can be used to create new words in the Jakanian language.
The one-letter word "a" means the word "to" and the one-letter word "o" means the word "of".
To create new words by connecting them with these word connectors you have to be aware of exceptions where word connectors lose its meaning:
  • "a" and "o" work as normal letters when used as the letter after the first letter
  • "a" and "o" work as normal letters when used as the letter before the last letter
  • "a" and "o" work as normal letters when used as the first letter
  • "a" and "o" work as normal letters when used as the last letter
  • "a" and "o" work as normal letters when used as first letter after a word modifying prefix, for example "kou"
  • "a" and "o" work as normal letters when used less than three letters after a previous connector

  • To illustrate how word connectors can be used to create words, here are some good examples of how these connectors are already used in the Jakanian language:
  • bin(sound) + o(of) + lan(country) = binolan(sound of country)
Binolan directly means "sound of country", but is mostly used as the word for "language".
  • godi(word) + o(of) + kaini(identity) = godiokaini (word of identity)
Godiokaini directly means "word of identity", but is mostly used as the word for "name". Godiokaini has been shortened down to gokini.
