The Kerenese counting system is octal, meaning it counts in base 8. There are 8 respective glyphs for the numerals.

0: 0
1: 1
2: 2
3: 3
4: 4
5: 5
6: 6
7: 7

So, for example, the number 8008 in base 10 would be 3745, or 3745.

Each digits place has a respective prefix C+od tacked onto the numeral. Every digit place up goes through all 15 consonants except for the one's place, which has no prefix. It then repeats except it repeats the prefix. For example, 1723556 (in base 8, of course) is rodwija lodkeda xodwena jodkasa fodroja podroja kina, or 1723556.
