There are several word classes with adjectival meanings: adjectives proper, adjectival nouns and personal states verbs.

[edit] [top]Adjectives

There are about 20 different adjectives. They show agreement with the modified noun's class and number, but the suffixes are different. They don't have an absolute-construct distinction, and thus can't appear as heads of the noun phrase.

nouns:

Most of the semantic types associated with adjectives are nouns in the construct state. They don't concord with the modified noun in class, there is variation about number agreement.

[edit] [top]Personal states

Spetagee has a set of verbs denoting emotions, mental and some social states. They are transitive, being the experiencer the subject and the theme the object. If the object is not specified the antipassive form is used.

Sujabyora: I'm happy for you

Jahbyoru: I'm happy

Predicative use

Adjectives and adjectival nouns require a special set of pronouns and the copula verb 'o' to be used as predicates. This copula can be dropped if no TAM marking is used.
