For quite a while, I'd had a desire to make a conlang with vocabulary and forms derived from different major language families. For Bebelngen, I decided to use: verbs (and nouns derived from verbs) that are derived from Old Chinese reconstructions, nouns (and their declension) from Semitic sources, and verb conjugations from Indo-European models. The experiment is only in its beginning stages, but I am enjoying working out the play between the families. I am also utilizing vowel harmony patterns that are inspired by Turkish.
I hope to be able to post a translation soon. I would also like to get my conscript digitized so that more of the texts can look the way they're supposed to.
