Iadrajan verbs are very complex. Tenses are used off and on by native speakers so it's difficult to understand where, when, and how to use the correct tenses in the language. Overall there are 10 tenses, each of which will conjugate with the subject. First thing we'll do is go over the tenses, and how to use them correctly.

[top]Verbs

How do you form, or recognize, a verb in Iadrajan? Verbs in Iadrajan have the ending "-ць", this will be true for nearly all verbs in Iadrajan, however there are a few crazy eggs in the bunch. When conjugating the verb, replace "-ць" with the correct grammatical ending that matches the subject. For example: Бракоць(to open) is in the infinitive form of the verb, if the subject is Ис(I) then the ending of Бракоць will change to reflect that. So 'Ис бракою' means 'I open'. This will remain true for all tenses.

[top]Irregular Verbs

Verbs also in Iadrjan can be slightly irregular when used in the Simple Present Tense. If there is not a VOWEL next to the verb ending "-ць" then instead of writing "-ю" you will write "-у". For example: Ниврунць = to avoid is irregular in its verb conjugation of the Simple Present Tense, so 'Ис нивруну' is the correct conjugation NOT 'Ис нивруню'. Also there are different verb stem endings that will have spelling change when conjugation in the Simple Present Tense. Here are those endings: REMEMBER these changes ONLY happen in the Simple Present Tense.

-Лшавдець = Лшавжу
-Пдатець = Пдашу
-Стасець = Сташу
-Загризець = Загрижу
-Зучошвець = Зучошжу
-Шламиθець = Шламиθну
-Сокрасвиць = Сокрасвну
-Вселафиць = Вселафну

[top]Verb Moods

In Iadrajan, there are different moods that a verbs can have in the form of a particle before the verb itself. The mood particle acts like a verb, as it conjugates to match the subject and tense, while the verb replaces its ending with the correct mood ending. Here are the different moods used in Iadrajan:

The Indicative Mood
The basic form of a verb.
  • Example: Ис убаю = I go

The Subjective Mood
If, were.
  • Example: Ис до убадя = If I go(now), Were I to go(now)

The Conditional Mood
Would.
  • Example: Ис би убачни = I would go

The Imperative Mood
A command, or order, to do something.
  • Example: Убати! = Go!

The Potential Mood
Words like should, ought, may, could.
  • Example: Ис ли убалдѐ = I should go, I ought to go, I may go, I could go

[top]Using the Mood Particles

Here are the conjugations of each particle:
(Present Tense)
Subjective Particle: до, дос, дот, дон, доф, дов, дом
Conditional Particle: би, бис, бит, бин, биф, бив, бим
Potential Particle: ли, лис, лит, лин, лиф, лив, лим
(Past Tense)
Subjective Particle: доль
Conditional Particle: биль
Potential Particle: лиль
(Future Tense)
Subjective Particle: дорь
Conditional Particle: бирь
Potential Particle: лирь

How to Use Moods in Different Tenses
To form a past tense, or future tense, with the particle add "-л" on the particle, and verb, for the past tense, or "-р" for the future tense. If the subject is plural, then add "-и" with them.
Examples:
  • Ис доль убадял = If I went
  • Ис дорь убадяр = If I go(in the future)
  • Нин доль убадяли = If we went
  • Нин дорь убадяри = If we go(in the future)

[top]Perfective Form

The perfective form of a verb is easy to form, just drop the ending of the verb, then replace it with "-тѐ".
Example: Убаць(to go) = Убатѐ(to have gone). Note that the perfective form of the verb does match with the gender of the subject, but only with the past and future tenses.
So for example: Ис убатѐ = I have gone, while Ис убатѐл = I had gone, and Ис убатѐр = I will have gone.
Here's a list:
-тѐ(singular), -none(shown in the particle)
-тѐл(male), тѐла(female, тѐле(neuter), -тѐли(plural)
-тѐр(male), тѐра(female) , тѐре(neuter), -тѐри(plural)
The mood particles can also have a perfect form. Here are examples of all of the moods particles:
Ис доль убадятѐл = If I had gone
Ис биль убачнитѐл = I would had gone
Ис лиль убалдѐтѐл = I should had gone, I ought to had gone, I may had gone, I could had gone

(Note: The mood particles only match the subjects in the present tense; when they are used in the past, or future, tenses.
For example:
(Present) Нин дон убадя = If we go
(Past) Нин доль убадяли = If we went
(Perfect Past) Нин доль убадятѐли = If we had gone
