[edit] [top]Phonotactics

Kyrean syllables are normally CV, but can be CVC as long as the coda is l, j, w, or h, or a trill that is followed by a voiced consonant in the next syllable. Some syllables do lack an onset C, especially in affixes. CCV syllables are seen, but not CCVC ones, as long as the CC is one of the following:
  • Stop+l
  • Short stop+trill with same place of articulation
  • Nasal+h
  • Fricative+j or w
  • vr and forms
  • mj
  • zh

[edit] [top]Dialects

Dialects aren't an important feature of Kyrean. There are more or less 4 pronunciation areas: North Kyre, East Kyre, South-west Kyre, Hill Kyre. However, because Kyre is an island both a little bigger and a little more populated than Iceland, Kyrean has minimal differences in its grammar by dialect, and most vocabulary differences do not map out neatly at all to different dialects.
