PlainLabial-velar
Nasal mnŋ <ñ>
StopVoicelesstkʔ

Implosiveɓ <b>ɗ <d>

Voicedd͡ʑ <j>
Fricative sɕ <c>ħ~χ <h>
Approximant wj <y>
Symbols in <> and bolded (e.g. <ñ>) are romanisation. Where this does not occur the romanisation is the same as the IPA.

The phone [ʔ] is an epenthetic allophone, and only occurs to break up disallowed vowel clusters.

There are also two syllabic nasal archiphonemes, notated /N̩/ and /Ń̩/, written <n ń>. These phonemes have different realisations depending on their surroundings.
  • /N̩/ is realised as
    • [m̩] - before /m ɓ/
    • [ŋ̩] - before /k g/
    • [n̩] - elswhere
  • /Ń̩/ is realised as
    • [ḿ̩] - before /m ɓ/
    • [ŋ̩́] - before /k g/
    • [ń̩] - elswhere

/an/ is distinguished from /an̩/ and the two are written <an> and <a'n> respectively.
