The phone [ʔ] is an epenthetic allophone, and only occurs to break up disallowed vowel clusters.
There are also two syllabic nasal archiphonemes, notated /N̩/ and /Ń̩/, written <n ń>. These phonemes have different realisations depending on their surroundings.

- [ŋ̩] - before /k g/
- [n̩] - elswhere
- [m̩] - before /m ɓ/
- /Ń̩/ is realised as
- [ḿ̩] - before /m ɓ/

- [ń̩] - elswhere
- [ḿ̩] - before /m ɓ/
/an/ is distinguished from /an̩/ and the two are written <an> and <a'n> respectively.
