Phonotactics:
Max syllable structure: CCVC
-All consonants except /l ɹ w j/ can be followed by /w/ or /j/. All stops and /s/ can be followed by /ɹ/*.
*/sɹ/ is pronounced /ʃɹ/
-All syllables must have a nucleus; onset and coda are optional.
-The only permissible codas are: /p t k m n ŋ s l/. /s/ and /l/ are rather rare.

Prosody:
Stress is always on the penultimate syllable of a word. Fully reduplicated words are treated as separate units, but the second stressed syllable is usually much weaker than the first, making it sound like it simply has initial stress.

Yachasam - ja.'tʃa.sam - I'm hungry
Naga-naga - 'na.ga.'na.ga - pair of eyes
