Inyrinst has four tones, low, high, falling and rising.

When the tone is different than normally:
- Low and high tone cannot be in the same word, the first of them stays the same while the ohter(s) change: low->rising, high->falling.
- One syllable words change according to the word they are following according to the tone of the last syllable: low->high, high->low, falling->high, rising->low
