In adpositional phrases, the adposition can be used either as a preposition or as a postposition. The distinction between them is that when the adposition is used as a postposition, it implies that the phrase is stative; when it is used as a preposition, it implied movement. Thus:

The other notable thing is the case-marking of adpositions' nouns. Most take oblique objects; a few take genitive objects; one takes ergative objects; but no matter what the default object is, all adpositions can take the topical case when necessary.
