It is a peninsular, tropical kingdom in the far north of the continent Altaria, almost surrounded by ocean except for a skinny isthmus connecting it with a lawless region known as the Northern Borderlands. Between the sizes of France and Texas, Cerela is highly mountainous, with the mountains covered in cloud forest. To the west lies a sandsea desert. In the north, there also lies a massive mangrove forest. However, most people live east of the mountains, in mostly hilly savannahs. It is mostly isolated by land and so does all trade and travel by sea.It formed after a successful slave rebellion against unknown slaver peoples, and the leader of the rebellion formed the kingdom with the help of the native Auswanians (Orcs.) Cerelan culture is a fusion of Altarian (W. European/Greco-Roman,) Auswanian (Polynesian) and the slaver culture (East Asian, mainly Japanese) as well as 1500-1600's Carribean culture. In the current timeline, it is one of the major nations in the continent, commonly referred to as a "sleeping power." Arguably, it is the strongest naval power in Altaria and has a lucrative agricultural market thanks to its tropical climate, allowing the country to grow crops that others can not, thus making up to 10x as much from their crops compared to other nations.
Genetically, most people are "Flaxen," which stems from a Scandinavian-like people. However, there is also a large population of Orcs and Cushtic-like peoples as well. ✎ Edit Article ✖ Delete Article
