So far I've just made a couple of example grammar tables. Other things might come... eventually.
Vowels
Kamam has a system of front/back vowel harmony like many other East-Mirarian languages.
Monophthongs | Diphthongs | ||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Front | Neutral | Back | Front | Neutral | Back | ||
High | ü /y/ | i /i/ | u /u/ | High | üi | ii | ui |
Mid | ö /ø/ | o /o/ | Mid | öi öü | oi ou | ||
Low | e /e~æ/ | a /ɑ/ | Low | ei eü | ai au |
"Vh" sequences are pronounced as long vowels, eg.: öh -> /ø:/
Consonants
Consonants in Kamam also have harmony, which is based on voicing. The sonorants and /h/ all have neutral harmony.
