About Prosaic
Prosaic is the ancient literary language of an empire yet to be named, from which most of the modern languages used in the empire have developed. Preserved mainly in ancient texts of various kinds, it is spoken and understood by very few, although it has reserved its prestigious status, mostly as a remnant of the past. The language spoken in the country's capital has replaced it as the common tongue, with some other languages used commonly in certain fields (one for art, one for philosophy).
