About Deep Gnomish
The Gnome Dimension has passages throughout it that lead to our world. Near where passages have existed for a while the languages of gnomes will resemble earth languages, but farther away, Deep Gnomish is spoken.
Exclusively human- or earth-based concepts, like cars, either aren't represented by words or are directly derived from a human language.
It's sort of German-ish, though not Germanic. Multiple words can be combined to make new words.
Its alphabet shares many letters with the English alphabet, but consonants such as 'd,' 't,' and 'l' are retroflex rather than English's alveolar equivalents, and the fricatives 'f' and 'v' are bilabial instead of dentolabial.
The vowels are sort of weird but that's because I don't know as much about them as consonants, so I just picked what I thought sounded best.
Any noun can be turned into an adjective by adding "-en" to the end of it (or "-nen" if it ends in a vowel). There is no distinction between the adjectival form and the possessive form.
Still working out verbs.
