About Lonish
Lonish is the primary language of Lons - on the continent of Antarephia in a different conworlding project. Lons has also had a run through the Sahar field, but not anymore.
Lonish is a language I created from the ashes of Kalusian, a language I created and felt highly unhappy with. The only ruins left of Kalusian is this post - an entry to the NationStates WorldVision contest. >>LINK<<
Kalusian was housed here at an earlier stage - but I took it down, unhappy with how it turned out. Some grammatical features of Kalusian were also present in this post I made to ZBB about my first conlang, Bròvvêž- mind you, this was way back when I had no idea what I was doing. The characteristic "êv" you see in Lonish now was already present back then! >>LINK<<
That was in the past however. The current has a much smoother - more intuitive Lonish. Here's some boring features of Lonish.
Lonish is a priori, but during the early days of lexicon building I used some pretty obvious a posteriori things, so some of the lexicon might strongly represent English, Dutch or Latin.
Lonish has a conscript which isn't very simple to translate into a font. I'll scatter some examples of it aro

Lonish is a priori, but during the early days of lexicon building I used some pretty obvious a posteriori things, so some of the lexicon might strongly represent English, Dutch or Latin.
- Either SOV or OSV: while the verb is most commonly the last word of the sentence, the rest of the word order is usually free.
- Article focused: all information commonly associated with nouns is found in the article, which merges with adjectives if present. This also means nouns themselves don't decline.
- No dilly dally: Lonish doesn't involve gender - or any kind of discrimination between words, really. There's 6 cases, 7 if you count a vocative.
- EZ Verbs: Verbs decline by a simple formula: base - tense - person.
Lonish has a conscript which isn't very simple to translate into a font. I'll scatter some examples of it aro
