About Ushnagos
ImÀ, UqoñadÀ !
[i.ma u.ɣo.ŋaˑ.da] Hello, my friends!
Ushnagos (literally meaning "our language") is spoken by around 120 million people in the tropical island nation of Pernagos.
It, along with English, is used as an offical language and lingua franca among the diverse ethnic groups in the nation.
Ushnagos is a language isolate with no relation to any language near it. Relatively unknown until 500 years ago, it mysteriously resurged as the language of government & religon and surplanted itself as the dominate language of the Pernagoese.

[edit] [view] Watla Jimte (Jimte Dialect)This dialect is spoken to the northeast of the standard dialect by the Jimte people, one of the "triplet" ethnic groups. Characterized by nasalized vowels, many French loans words from early French explorers, and the usage of the definite article that's absent in other dialects of the language.
[edit] [view] Watla Ughzi (Ughzi Dialect)This dialect is spoken to the northwest of the standard dialect by the Ughzi people, one of the "triplet" ethnic groups. It is characterized by its lack of "r" sound and softening of weak vowels. How close a weak vowel sounds to a schwa is usually proportional to how rural an individual is.
