About Sono
Sono is an agglutinating language with distinct nominal and verbal morphology. It is still completely unknown where this language is or was spoken. It seems that Sono is not related to any known natural or constructed languages. This lack of background information is due to only one person being involved in its research, who is primarily interested in the linguistic aspect ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
Some linguistic facts:
- VSO word order
- no pre/postpositions, but 40 cases
- tries really hard not to be gender-specific → there's the pronoun mo meaning s/he, there's only one word for husband/wife, etc.
- 9 types of modality, 6 aspects, and 3 optional types of evidentiality
- two relative pronouns - one referring to the subject of the main clause, one to the object
- no adjectives and no conjunctions, but some very neat clitics and particles
