About Siphir
Siphir is spoken widely across the Siphiric and Syrthian Empires. The Siphirs started off as nomadic tribesman, before creating the Kingdom of Siphirikit, annexing the important Syrthian city of Nuvurrose, renaming it Siphirikit. Siphir has a simple and symmetrical phonemic inventory. Siphir has an inferred gender system based on vowels. /a/ and /o/ are masculine, /u/ and /e/ are feminine, and /i/ is neuter. Siphir features obstruent voicing and gendered vowel harmony. For affixes, the root vowel is used. The hierarchy for which vowels to use is: /a/ and /u/, /o/ and /e/, and then finally /i/. Siphir is moderately fusional and has imperfect and evidential distinctions. Siphir also features 5 cases and the locative copula. Siphir is a phonoaesthetically pleasing language and is very affluent, both as an academic, but also as a vernacular tongue.
