About Aelcorxer
Primary (and sole recognised) language within the Imperial lands of Ocraudavia, a prosperous -if a little totalitarian- Empire primarily situated in the Grand Ocran Archipelago, which it controls in its entirety, the South-west corner of which forms the Empire's origin, capital, and beating heart: Aelcorx.
While many a dialect -like Low, Colonial, and Insular Aelcorxer- and many a sister language -like Imensaxer- of it exist, the Imperial Bureau of Language does not recognise nor count these 'impurities' as proper Aelcorxer.
High Aelcorxer, as it is known outside the Empire, is spoken within the core heartlands of Aelcorx itself, many of the Empire's larger cities, and by the upper castes all throughout the Empire. It is considered a prestige language among the Empire's neighbors, satellites, colonies, and home continent.
7.000.000 Souls call this language their native tongue, while another 57.000.000 are fluent.

Aelcorxer has- in one way or another- been in the works since late 2017, only having gotten serious in 2020, as a means to kill time during the pandemic. It is my first ever conlang, and I genuinely want to make it as good as it can be. It has a script, but I'm not font-savvy enough to have it show here.

[edit] [view] Eelgogzei (Low Aelcorxer)Dialect of Standard High Aelcorxer spoken in Aelcorx's rural countryside among the lower castes, considered uncouth and improper by the city folk and the landed nobility. It drops much of it's 'more sophisticated' sister's complex grammar and abundant phonemes, but instead gains phonemic vowel length and harmony to compensate.
