About Not-Canonical Eastern Amaian
Eastern Amaian is one of the three Amaian languages of western Miraria on Sahar, and belongs to the Eastern Mirarian family, which also includes Thuun, Elipa, and Ezian, among others, and descends from Proto-Pemme. It is spoken by about ten million humans in eastern and southern Amaia, and western Yerlan. Most of its speakers are multilingual in Standard Not-Canonical Amaian, Kalchelian, or Jená.
It differs from Standard Amaian and the other Amaian varieties in having a series of phonemic breathy-voiced consonants and contrastive nasalization on vowels. More phonologically conservative than its relatives, it has loaned even more extensively than Standard Amaian, and is more isolating, and thus grammatically innovative than Standard Amaian. However, it is less lexically and grammatically innovative than Northern Amaian.
