About Antiwi
Antivi is my personal (though if anyone wants to adopt it and use it, go right ahead) a priori language that I intend to use in day to day life. I am creating Antivi to be efficient and compact with the information it conveys as well as being beautiful. It is influenced and takes on features from by Proto Indo-European, Latin, French, Spanish, English, and Turkish (and a couple others).
Its features include:
EDIT: Though this language has been abandoned, I may start a new language soon.
Its features include:
- Vocabulary taken heavily from Proto Indo-European
- Basically free word order due extensive agreement and marking. In more complex sentences, however, the perferred word order is SOV.
- I also have a personal liking for syntheticity and agglutinativity, so those two a central features of Antivi.
- Verbs agree with the subject and because the personal endings are technically still analyzed, by the Anctavians, as the nominative forms of the pronouns, Antivi is technically not a pro-drop language.
- Adpositions are technically free to roam around in the clause, they are usually act as postpositions and are sometimes glued to the noun they modify, written with a hyphen, which would be in the locative case.
- Follows Latin phonology with a few modifications.
- Exhibits accusative alignment.
- Exhibits the formation of polypersonal agreement with the 3Third person (person)
neither speaker nor addressee ACCAccusative (case)
TRANS direct object; patient and DATDative (case)
indirect object; recipient, beneficiary, location pronouns becoming more like gender and number markers for whatever its the direct and indirect objects is/are. The pronouns can still be used as pronouns however and still have the ability to stand alone as the objects and indirect objects of the verb.
EDIT: Though this language has been abandoned, I may start a new language soon.
