About Anji
Hi this is my language I've been working on slowly for a while. (though this is a converted version of an old language page I had, I didn't actually create it in 2017. i started working on it in more like 2019 I think)
Phonology is just stuff I think is fun and aesthetically pleasing. Notably we have a palatalized consonant sequence, continuant codas, and primarily aspiration contrast over voicing... Not everyone will like it probably but I like it. Trying to keep the orthography ASCII and relatively intuitive, and not *too* stupid-looking, even if that comes at the cost of systematic orthographic elegance.
Vocabulary is just kind of a mishmash of stuff I like from languages I know (or kind of know). Large inspiration from Spanish/Turkish/Japanese/Mandarin Chinese, but there's some French and Korean and probably other stuff in here as well, and a significant proportion of a priori words. Currently uploading the vocabulary I've been working on for a while, haven't uploaded all the words yet because it's tedious lol
Grammar is work-in-progress but generally SOV/head-marking, leans towards a fairly synthetic groundplan. Fusional number/person suffixes on verbs, plus aspect marking but no tense marking.
