About Bløjhvåtterskyll BLØJHVÅTTERSKYLL
Touchant, pljættoulochue! Er... salute, language geeks! Apparently, you ended up at the Bløjhvåtterskyll page. Don't know how you managed to do that... Bløjhvåtterskyll is a conlang I've been working on for almost four years now. It has eight cases, a whole conjugation system for verbs, a lot of diphthongs and not every word has diacritics. As I just recently discovered this site, most of the information still has to be put on this site. That's gonna take a while with 2200+ words and 4 dialects. Oh my. And I haven't even talked about the easiness of changing adjectives to nouns or verbs. Or about the ingenious way lengthening works for creating participle stems. There are some u-letters, but the u isn't one of them. End of course all the andings... haha. Well, I have bunch-a them-of. So most of the words a longer than in English, but for 300 words in English you need only 200 in Bløjhvåtterskyll.
I was talking about diacritics, wasn't I? These letters have diacritics: ä, å, ñ, æ, ø, š, é. There's á, í, ó and ú too, but those only indicate stress.
Is Bløjhvåtterskyll easy to learn? Sorry, it's not. Ssht, don't say that, otherwise nobody'll learn it. IT'S EASY TO LEARN! but it's not an auxlang. Words are based on Norwegian, Breton, Welsh, Swedish, French and my imagination. The grammar is based on Latin, Russian, Greek, German, and lots o' more imagination. Part of that imagination is: auxiliotive (mood for auxiliary verbs), case indicators for long sentences (those omitted in speech though), duratiomonstrantpraeteritum (which is a difficult Latin name for a gerund in the past and the future. Okay, I'll write an article about that once) and much more.
But how does the language look and sound? Look at the examples below. Or look at the IPA. I tried to make the phonology guessing system as correct as possible.
Anyway, if you're still reading, you must be interested. Send me a message if you are indeed! ;)
So long!
