About Ekanish
Ekanish is based heavily on both English and Spanish, although it also uses some of my own unique ideas.
You might notice that the alphabet is strange in some ways; for example, each letter only makes one sound. Instead, diacritics are employed to differentiate graphemes. Another weird characteristic of my alphabet is that C, Q, and X, letters that I consider unnecessary, are instead used to represent what would usually be digraphs, like /t͡ʃ/. The only letter-to-letter relationships involve R, forming phonemes such as /iɹ/ and /ʌɹ/. Ekanish is my first attempt at making a proper language, so mistakes will be made. This is basically just a way to help me learn Spanish.
