About K'aŝnip
Important note on translations: all translations are in their casual forms. Proper, grammatically correct versions can be found in this article.
K'aŝnip is the language of a species called K'iŝna, or K'aŝ in casual conversation. They resemble satyrs, but more goat-like, and bearing significantly fewer human qualities. They're not actually humans is what I'm saying. Humans are boring. They are a blunt, gruff, aggressive species, who make shouting matches and minor fist-fights a regular occurrence. The threatening display of ramming their horns against another's is almost a greeting.
Their language lends itself well to this. It's full of strong consonant sounds, better to spit angrily at your opponents (and friends, and loved ones, and whoever dares get close enough to hear it...). There's a relatively small base vocabulary, with a great deal of more detailed information conveyed in compound words. Although there are dictionary entries for many of these, one could make almost combinations by following a few simple rules. Additionally, although there are common compounds used very regularly, they are often left out in casual conversation, as much as context allows. The literal translation of an argument would likely be very confusing without context.
Animacy functions as grammatical gender, and is built upon rules of respect. However, these rules probably exist just so that they can be broken and used as insults. For example, to refer to someone with a 2nd person inanimate pronoun would be extremely insulting. It's still one of the most commonly used pronouns on the streets.
There's a reason that K'aŝ do not seem especially friendly to any outside species.
K'aŝnip uses an RTL script. Traditionally, the script is actually written top-to-bottom, right-to-left, but it has been modified for CWS / computers in general.
