About Gimmish
Originally, Gimmish was a form of English spoken by a hermit named Gim. Gim spoke using many different made up words, switched meanings for words, strange pronunciation changes, and more, so it seemed like gibberish to most others. He eventually took a wife and had a family, who also learned his strange way of speaking. Gim was a very good watchmaker and philosopher, and people would come from all over to see this strange man. Eventually a town grew up around him and the language began to spread, with all of it's many quirks.
