Syllable StructureThe syllable structure of herder is not that hard to remember at first glance:
(C)(C)(C)(M/L/U)(M/L/U)(C)(C)(C), however this notion completely changes when you remember the fact that anything after the nucleus can just as easily become a vowel, you have to account for vowel harmony and the maximum of 2 vowels per syllable, then to account for the sheer amounts of vowels for each category.
Stress informationStress in Herder is, in every case, penultimate, the 2nd last syllable gets the stress UNLESS its coda is built by /ə/. In that case the stress goes to the syllable before, the stress is to fall in either an "upper" category vowel or a "lower" category vowel.
OtherUML (Upper Middle Lower) is the categorization of the vowels in the language of Heder, as it is made out by 3 distinct categories for its vowel harmony.
Upper is anything above the schwa.
Lower is anything below the schwa.
This seems easy until you again remember the sheer amounts of vowels in herder and their romanization not being as helpful as it was made to hopefully be.
