About Standard Lísic
WELTJEL|!

WELTJELL!

[ˈvɛlçətl̩]

Welcome!

Hituronish 3.0

The reboot of its two previous versions, this time derived from a proto-conlang (more or less) and with almost no vocabulary stolen from natlangs. Almost. It also changed its name and lore in the process; Hituronish is now just one of many dialects of Lísic.

Introduction and some features

Lísic is spoken in my fantasy conworld where it serves as lingua franca for the vast majority of the continent of Kélas. It is divided into four main varieties, each spoken in one of the four kingdoms currently existing on Kélas, with one extra dialect spoken in the disputed territory of Trosetia. The current Standard Lísic is based on the language spoken some 800 to 900 years ago during the Lísic Conquest that significantly reshaped both political and ethnic landscape of major parts of Kélas.

Here are some features:
- four different word orders:
    - VSO – when subject is a pronoun
    - SVO – when a noun or proper noun is a subject
    - SOV – questions (with changed intonation)
    - VOS – happens in main clause when subordinate clause precedes the main one

- two tenses: non-past and past
- four cases: nominative, accusative, dative, genitive
- three genders: masculine, feminine, neuter
- the script is very square because i fold every time i try to use inkscape

Pronunciation is probably slightly ood since I fucked up my phomo rules; dictionary may be slightly ood as well bcs i dont update it anymore here on cws.
