About Hervonian
A Southern Finnic language thought to be a more divergent version of Livonian. Influenced heavily by the Latvian language and the extinct Selonian language, Hervonian exhibits a system of pitch accent similar to both languages, along with stød similar to that in Livonian. The Estonian name for the Hervonians, hirveekaasad, loosely means "deers' companions", referring to the Hervonians' widespread practice of deer domestication and farming.
