About Dalian My first real a poseriori!

Dalian is a northwest germanic language derived from Old Norse. It's spoken in an unspecified, fictional valley in central Norway. It is inspired by other central norwegian dialects, especially the dialects of Gudbrandsdalen, Valdres and Setesdalen, plus a little bit of Faroese.

It is quite conservative compared to other Scandinavian language, but not when compared to Icelandic and Faroese.

Some grammatical features:
  • two cases (nominative and dative) for nouns, three (+accusative) for pronouns
  • Three genders (masculine, feminine, neuter), which again are divided into strong and weak nouns
  • Verbs decline for two tenses (present and past), and agree with the subject in plurality
  • Lots of verb declensions, seven strong and three weak
