About Korelakada
Seketa'i! This is the language page for Korelakada! Korelakada is a unique Polynesian language with a few twists. It has an extremely simple phonology, of CV, however where the real complexity comes in is the deeply rooted vowel harmony and vowel length systems. The vowels come in a masculine/feminine distinction, with a neutral vowel i. The masculine vowels are a and e, and the feminine vowels are o and u. Not only do the vowels have to harmonize within the word, but all auxiliary verbs, affixes and case endings must also agree. Korelakada has a two way vowel length system, too however, it does not serve any gramatical purpose, and is there just for word destinction. I have designed another language,
Shengdat, and when I set out to create it, I wanted it to be as simple as possible, although it ended up being very complicated with large agglutinated words. I want this to be a very simple, isolating language that will not take much time for people to learn to speak. Thank you!

[edit] [view] かれらかた (Japonic Korelakada)A version of Korelakada that is very similar to the standard language but has more Japonic influence such as vocabulary, some grammar and most notably the writing system of Hiragana, known to the natives as いらかな. Also, instead of the l sound, they have the lateral flap ɾ, and the sounds of ti, tu and si are replaced by the Japanese chi, tsu and shi.
