About Chortian
Chortian is a member of the South Dravidian branch of the Dravidian Language family, spoken as a lingua franca in the archipelago of Kortsaano. As a lingua franca between what was originally different groups of people, it has gained a substrate influence from Romance and Sinitic languages. It is unique in having lost retroflexes in its language family but has maintained a core vocabulary from Proto-Dravidian.
