About Lengi
Lengi is the name given to the language of the Nòmi icebears of Frontier as it came to be spoken from about the 28th century AD, after the planet was colonized by humans. It has a heavy influx of human vocabulary for things not native to Frontier, and has lost certain phonemes that were not producible by human or hybrid vocal tracts. Because the lost sounds were the ones called "warmer sounds" (ròlanduunpat), this stage of the language came to be called the "cold" speech, Mùnnìbjoì, or Lengi in the colonists' language.
